We are always planning something–always! This summer is no different and we are happy to announce our summer calendar! So hurry down to Bass to have a good time.

DCS: PRESENTS “INTO THE WOODS”
May 30- June 2, Jake and Freda Stein Hall
Adult $18, Child $10
One of Sondheim’s most popular works, Into the Woods, is a timeless yet relevant piece and a rare modern classic that follows traditional fairy tales.

JUNE

GAC: 5TH JURIED INVITATIONAL EXHIBIT OPENING
June 7, 5:00 PM-7:00 PM, Roger D. Malkin Gallery
Free to Public
Every other year the Greenville Arts Council hosts an Invitational Exhibit.  It gives Mississippi artists a great chance to showcase their work in the Mississippi Delta. The exhibit is juried and awards are given. This year’s judge is Mississippi Artist Rick Anderson. Exhibit sponsored by Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau. Exhibit will remain up until August 16. Additional award sponsors: Greenville Clearinghouse, The Delta Group, Farmers Grain Terminal, Mr. & Mrs. William P. Lane, III, Delta Artists Association and Monsanto.

GAC: ANNUAL MEETING
June 10, 5:30 PM, Roger D. Malkin Gallery
Time to celebrate our annual successes and rotating board members. There will be a wine and cheese reception in the Roger D. Malkin Gallery. GAC Members are welcome. Reservations required.

GAC: ART CAMP STARTS
Session I: June 10-14
Morning Session: 5-8 year olds- SOLD OUT
        Afternoon Session: 9-12 year olds

Sign your student up for our camp! Younger kids will get to experience all four art forms: music, dance, drama and visual arts and older kids will get a more intensive education on the visual arts including ceramic. Call 662.332.2246 to reserve your camper’s spot.

Need a night out? Come paint the town with Cherie Clark, a local artist. This is a great excuse for a girl’s night out, a fun date night or a fun evening with a friend. No experience needed. Sign up, show up, sip and paint. We supply all materials, wine and hor d’oeuvres. Feel free to bring additional snacks.

DSC will stage Peter Pan. Prepare yourself for an evening of imagination and FLYING. Peter Pan is a character created by Scottish novelist and playwright J.M. Barrie. A mischievous boy who can fly and who never ages, Peter Pan spends his never-ending childhood adventuring on the small island of Neverland as the leader of his gang, the Lost Boys, interacting with mermaids, Native Americans, fairies, pirates, and occasionally ordinary children from the world outside of Neverland.
