Spring into Summer with READING

We love reading at the Greenville Arts Council and whenever we have the chance to share reading and the arts with students in our community–it is a double win!

On Tuesday night we got to assist with the Reading night at Armstrong and it was so fun (thanks Ben for coordinating it)! We had some great volunteer readers and the teachers and students had  their hallways decorate in preparation for the event. It was beautiful and so inspirational. One hallway was decorated like the ocean–there were all sorts of sea creatures and then one hallway had a HUGE reading rainbow. What a great way to create a fun learning environment.

Students rotated from different hallways with readers and art activities. They got to showcase their creativity with a collage activity–and they were proud of their work for sure! Check out these amazing photographs from the event.
