Did you know today is the day of the FIRST MS River Marathon! The Arts Council is excited to welcome all the runners to our community.
From our Friends at the MS River Marathon:
Runners will experience circling North America’s largest ox-bow lake, passing the location of the first recorded night flight by Charles Lindbergh, proceeding through historic downtown Greenville, and crossing the famous Mississippi River. This will be an unforgettable race day for all runners. In addition to creating an awesome race day experience, the Mississippi River Marathon is working to eliminate educational inequities by providing proceeds to Teach For America, a non-profit organization that recruits and trains exceptional teachers that are creating lasting change in the lives of Delta students.
Are you interested in the MS River Marathon? Then visit their website and sign up to run next year. For their first year they had over 1400 runners register. But, this year it isn’t too late to get out there and cheer everyone on! We will see you at the finish line!
