Don’t miss the Greenville Arts Council’s fourth exhibit of the 2012 year in the Roger D. Malkin Gallery. Delta Collects: Seymour Weiss – it’s only up until July 20, 2012. This exhibit is sponsored by The Leland Progress. The Roger D. Malkin Gallery is open from 10 AM-4 PM Monday through Friday and by appointment on Saturday and is free of charge.
This exhibit showcases the private collection of the late arts patron Seymour Weiss. Weiss was a great supporter of the arts and was involved in the Delta Symphony Association, Delta Center Stage, and even worked on the E.E. Bass Cultural Arts Center renovation project. His collection includes artwork by a variety of regional artists—most were involved with the prestigious Delta State University Art program. The collection even includes a Stan Topol painting, winner of the 2012 Greenville Honors Its Own Artist Award.
