We are SO lucky!

As many of you may know, here at the Greenville Arts Council we are very fortunate to serve as a host site for an amazing AmeriCorps*VISTA member. VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) is a federal anti-poverty program administered by the Corporation for National and Community Service. VISTA provides full-time volunteers (VISTAs) to support projects at nonprofit, grassroots organizations, and local government agencies that operate programs to help alleviate poverty in the United States.

This weekend, we had five AmeriCorps NCCC (National Civilian Community Corps) members that have been serving the greater Lake Village, AR area for the last two months, though they are based out of Denver. These amazing folks helped us get ready for our huge Greenville Honors Its Own mailing that you can expect to see in your mailboxes later this week. We want to say a HUGE thank you to them for spending their Saturday with us to make the mailing possible!
