The Delta Artists Association will exhibit at Guachoya Cultural Arts Center in Lake Village, AR in February and March. A public reception to celebrate the opening is Feb. 9 from 6:00-7:30.
Guachoya Cultural Art Center will host the Annual St. Patrick’s Party and Fundraiser Saturday, March 10 at the Center. The evening of fun, auctions and surprises starts at 6:30 p.m. It’s a one of a kind party that guests enjoy each year.
The center will be covered in green and guests are encouraged to design and wear festive clothing for the evening. Prizes will be awarded for best costumes, so plan ahead for this event!
On the list of fun things to do are the live and silent auctions for dinners, parties, weekend getaways, art pieces and many other great prizes. The live auction is always lively! And be sure to get your name in the drawing for some unique door prizes!
Tickets for the event are $25 per person including a wonderful meal prepared by some of the greatest cooks in Lake Village and volunteers. If you have a group of 6 to 10 you should reserve a table by March 8. Call Guachoya’s Executive Director Tracy Gore for reservations at 870-265-6077.
The Delta Artists Association Exhibit will be an added attraction for the evening. The collection consists of works on canvas, works on paper and 3-D pieces. This collection features both amateur and established artists from Mississippi and Arkansas.
This annual fundraiser benefits the art center in its mission to promote the arts in Lake Village and the surrounding areas. With so many cuts in both state and federal funding for the arts, this fundraiser will allow Guachoya to continue offering the excellent programs, classes and events that it has offered in the past. All contributions and donations are tax deductible.
Guachoya Cultural Art Center is located at 1652 Highway 65/82 South in Lake Village. The hours of operation are Tuesday through Friday 9:30-3:00. For more information contact Tracy Gore at 870-265-6077. Artists, restaurants, businesses or individuals wishing to donate to the auction or event are appreciated and encouraged to contact as well.
