From our friends at the Mississippi Arts Commission:
The Mississippi Arts Commission would like to invite you to apply to become a member of Mississippi Artist Roster Directory. We consider you and your talent valuable assets to the citizens of our state and want to encourage you to take the necessary time to visit our website, review the guidelines, and complete the application. The postmark deadline for submission of your application is Thursday, March 1, 2012.
The Mississippi Arts Commission Artist Roster Directory is a listing of artists whose work demonstrates quality and mastery of an artistic discipline. Artists or arts groups apply and go through a thorough review by a review panel of artists, presenters and educators. Once the artists are accepted to the Artist Roster, nonprofit organizations, schools and government groups can apply for grants to present these artists to their communities.
The guidelines for applying to the Artist Roster and the Teaching Artist Roster may be downloaded from our website: http://www.arts.state.ms.us/grants/artist-roster.php or http://www.arts.state.ms.us/grants/teaching-artist-roster.php.
If you need a review of the application process, please join us at one of the remaining grant writing consultations being held around the state. The dates, locations and times can be found on the MAC website home page: http://www.arts.state.ms.us.
If you have any questions or require any additional assistance applying for the Roster, please contact one of the following Commission staff members, depending upon your artistic discipline:
