Final Cocktails at the Carousel: Paradise in
The Greenville Arts Council will host its last Cocktails at the Carousel event of the summer on August 12, 2011, at 5:00 PM in the Armitage Herschell Carousel Pavilion at the E.E.Bass Cultural Arts Center.
The GAC has chosen to save the best for last by my making this Cocktails at the Carousel themed after the island music of singer and song writer Jimmy Buffett. The carousel rides are free and open to the public. Community members may choose to purchase and enjoy their choice of wine, beer, sodas or a delicious margarita while listening to Jimmy Buffett hits like “Margaritaville”, “Cheeseburger in Paradise”, and “Come Monday.”
“This event is a great time for everyone in the community to come out and enjoy the 1901 Armitage
Herschell Carousel. The Arts Council loves having the chance to program around this great antique, and we are looking forward to switching things up a little bit and bringing the beach to Greenville. Come on down and celebrate the end of summer with us!” stated MacKenzie Stroh, executive director of the Greenville Arts Council.
The Arts Council welcomes the entire community to enjoy this tropical themed event as the GAC
ends the summer and gears up for fall. No reservations are need. Children are welcome, but must be supervised by adults.
