Memorial Day– Bass Closed. But, Summer is in FULL blast at BASS starting June 1!

The office will be closed on Monday in observation of Memorial Day.  However, the Carousel will be open on Saturday from 3-5 PM. Come take a ride, bring your family! $1 a ride.

We are SO excited for June to arrive!

We have so much planned this summer; we expect to see everyone in town down at the E.E. Bass Cultural Arts Center. Check out the events going on next week–and they are all free and open to the public! Got to love that, I know I do! Watch MacKenzie on WXTV bright and early Tuesday morning announcing all the fun programs being offered this summer by the Greenville Arts Council.

Afternoon Tea and Lecture at Bass

Join us at the gallery for tea and Look around Mississippi with lecturer Walt Grayson. The event is free and open to the public. Feel free to bring a sack lunch! Walt Grayson will have books available for purchase.

4th Biennial Juried Invitational Exhibit
Friday, June 3 5:30-7:30 p.m. Gallery Opening, Roger D. Malkin Gallery
Friday, June 3 – July 29, 2011

This exhibit will feature over 55 works of artists born or currently living in Mississippi. Exhibit will be juried by Laurin McCracken, recognized architect and water color artist. One $1,000 Best of Show purchase award, two $500 purchase awards, and five $100 merit prizes will be given. Total prize money $2,500. Show will be open until July 29, 2011.
