The Greenville Arts Council is proud to announce that we will be hosting a First Annual Student Invitational exhibition to open April 28, 2011 that will run through June 5, 2011, at the E.E. Bass Cultural Arts Center in Greenville. This event is to showcase the students of our community and to provide them the unique opportunity to have their work displayed in a public Cultural Arts Center.
Greenville resident artist, Belinda Bowdre, an accomplished painter that has had her work on display at Meridian Museum of Art, will be the juror for this exhibition. She will select the pieces from the artwork submitted and will identify the award winners from the assembled works. Submitted artwork will be judged in four different age categories, including High School, Grades 6-8, Grades 3-5, and Grades K-2.
This first annual invitational is open to all Washington County students and we hope that you will encourage your students to participate. All artwork is to be submitted in person by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 8, 2011, at the Greenville Arts Council office, at 323 South Main Street. Download the GAC Student Invitational flyer to learn more about artwork specifics and for the registration form.
