Who can participate?

This Invitational is open to all artists either currently living in Mississippi, or those who were born in Mississippi. All work submitted to the Invitational must have been completed within the past two years. Each artist may submit up to 3 works of art. 
 

How do I submit work?

All entries must be submitted online at www.greenville-arts-council.com. The juror will choose works for the exhibit based on these digital images. The images must be at least 300 dpi. The file name must be the name of the work. Artists sending 3D work, such as sculptures, may submit up to three images of each entry. Artists sending 2D work may only submit one image of each entry.

 

When is the deadline to submit my works?

The deadline to submit work is February 21, 2025. 

 

What does it cost? 

Each artist must submit a non-refundable entry fee of $35.00. If payment by check or cash is preferred, please send it to E.E. Bass Cultural Arts Building at 323 South Main Street, Greenville, MS, 38701 along with your name and number and we will contact you when we receive it. Please make checks payable to the Greenville Arts Council. If card is the preferred method of payment, please pay via the PayPal link on the submission form online.

 

What could I win? 

We are awarding one Best-of-Show purchase award of $1500, 2nd place award of $500, 3rd place of $250 and five $100 merit awards.

 

What can I submit?

Paintings of all media, original prints, drawings, graphics, photographs, sculpture,

wood-turned work, fiber arts, and ceramics may be entered. Accepted entries must not

exceed 216” in total perimeter, including frame. They must be framed for exhibition and

ready to hang/install. Sculpture must not exceed 72” in height or 48” in any other

direction. Maximum weight limit is 100 lbs.

Hanging sculpture must not exceed 25 lbs. Works must arrive with labels securely

attached to lower left corner on back or bottom of work.

 

When will you let me know if I got into the exhibit?

We will begin contacting artists with notices of their acceptance into the exhibit during the first week in March. If a work is accepted into the exhibit, the artist will have until March 14, 2025, to drop off or mail the piece(s) to E.E. Bass Cultural Arts Center. The opening reception for the exhibit is slated for March 21, 2025. If a work is mailed, our office will invoice you for return shipping, unless other arrangements are made. All works must be picked up within 30 days of the ending of the exhibit; all mailed works will be sent back as soon as possible following the ending of the exhibit. 

 

What if my work sells?

In the event that an exhibited work is sold, the Greenville Arts Council will retain a 30%

commission on the sales price, and a check will be issued to the artist at the conclusion of

the exhibit.

 

Who is this year's Juror? 

This year's juror is Randy Jolly! Jolly is the current Director for the Gore Galleries at Mississippi College. His areas of expertise are working with clay and painting with a strong mixed media influence. In 2017, Jolly was named as the National Museum Art Educator of the Year!
